Marcelo Bielsa is reported to be closing in a switch to Leeds, but beforehand, he has been imparting his wisdom, with ex-Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha seeking to benefit.
Pedro Caixinha’s spell as Rangers manager did not work out succesfully, with the Portuguese boss sacked after less than a year in charge.
He has since returned to Mexico to manage Cruz Azul, after forging his damaged reputation in the country as a league winning manager with Santos Laguna.
Clearly his spell at Rangers showed up a few flaws, both tactically and from a man-management perspective.
So he has wisely been seeking to learn from one of the very best.
Caixinha was in attendance this week at a conference in Mexico held by famed tactician and innovator Marcelo Bielsa.
Caixinha spoke to Mexican outlet Vamos Cruz Azul after the conference, and said how impressive Bielsa was.
He said: “[It went ]Very well, very well, I like learning a lot, and today I learned a lot, I really like the concepts of other coaches to perceive, more or less, how I am in my own concepts.”
Bielsa could soon be educating football fans across the English Championship if he can agree a switch to Leeds, and if he does, it is going to be truly fascinating.
