The Rangers goalkeeper could become one of the first casualties of the Steven Gerrard era at Ibrox.
Rangers fans are reacting on Twitter to reports linking goalkeeper Jak Alnwick with a move away from Ibrox.
The Daily Mail reported on Friday that Alnwick was set to join Shrewsbury Town in a deal worth £250,000 - although according to the Scottish Sun, Rangers have since rejected the English side's approach.
Alnwick arrived at Ibrox from Port Vale in January 2017, but has played just 11 times for the Gers - having served as Wes Foderingham's understudy for much of his time in Glasgow.
Nevertheless, the 24-year-old has often impressed when called upon, and some Rangers fans would prefer see him stay put.
Others, however, think £250,000 would represent good value for Steven Gerrard's side - who also have Scotland international Allan McGregor, as well as Tartan Army youngster Robby McCrorie, on their books in Alnwick's position.
This is what they are saying...
250k for Alnwick is the deal of the century!— Jamie Benton (@jamiebenton11) 8 June 2018
I would rather have Alnwick as No 2 and get rid of Fod, then Alnwick becomes No1 after Greegs retires.— Garry (@gazzacam) 8 June 2018
By all account Jak Alnwick has been a top professional since coming into the club. Never easy being a backup goalkeeper but he always did well whenever he was called upon. & I wish him all the best should he leave the club in the coming days.— Willy (@SpatestonBear2) 8 June 2018
hmm, best of luck to him! good enough to be first choice somewhere— Luke (@lukemcrn) 8 June 2018
Whenever Alnwick came in he done a job tbf - bit harsh considering he was never given a chance, same with Dodoo. Shite management have cost them their future at our club— Raghav Sood (@raghavsood9) 8 June 2018
Would keep Alnwick as no2 + sell wes— Declan Gemmell (@DeclanGemmell) 8 June 2018
