Leeds United divide opinion among football fans but have been a rare sight for Premier League fans as they enter a 15th year outside the top flight.
When it was announced England would play one of their World Cup warm-up games at Elland Road in Leeds it was generally well-received although many felt the games should have been at Wembley.
Some England fans were also concerned that the Three Lions had failed to win their previous two matches at Leeds United's famous old ground against Sweden in 1995 and a defeat to Italy in 2002.
Those fears proved unfounded, though, as Gareth Southgate's side ran out 3-0 winners against Costa Rica thanks to a Marcus Rashford thunderbolt and a Danny Welbeck tap-in.
Elland Road has been the home of Leeds United since the club's foundation in 1919, with a capacity of 37,890.
The stadium is the 13th largest football stadium in England and the fourth largest outside the Premier League.
And football fans across the country were happy to see it back on the big stage, flooding Twitter with praise for the home of Leeds United.
Here's a selection of some of the best comments which will fill Leeds fans with pride.
