Newcastle United have been linked with Kerim Mrabti of Djurgardens IF in the summer transfer window.

Newcastle United are interested in signing Kerim Mrabti from Djurgardens IF in the summer transfer window, according to The Mirror (Transfer Live blog, 16:32, Saturday, May 26, 2018).

It has been reported that Newcastle are willing to offer £1 million in transfer fees for Sweden international Mrabti, whose current contract with Djurgardens is claimed to run out in December.

It has also been reported that the 24-year-old midfielder has been compared to Chelsea star Eden Hazard in Sweden, and that Udinese and Bruges are interested in him.

Bargain signing?

Signing Mrabti would be a risk for Newcastle, but if they are able to get him for £1m, then it could prove to a bargain signing.

The Sweden international midfielder has a strong reputation in Sweden, and while it would not be easy for him to adapt to the Premier League and be a success in the English top flight, taking a chance on such a talented player for just £1m would not be a bad idea at all.
