HITC Sport understands Scunthorpe are lining up a move for Dover star Pinnock.
Scunthorpe United are closing in on the signing of Dover Athletic attacker Mitchell Pinnock, HITC Sport understands.
Pinnock has enjoyed an outstanding season with National League side Dover, culminating in winning the club’s Player of the Year award.
The left-sided winger made 43 appearances in the National League this season, scoring eight goals and laying on 10 assists as Dover just missed out on the play-offs.
Pinnock’s displays for Dover have not gone unnoticed elsewhere higher up the football pyramid with a number of Football League clubs sending scouts to watch him in action this season.
Scunthorpe have held a long-term interest in Pinnock and they are hopeful of agreeing a deal to bring him to Glanford Park.
Scunthorpe lost in the League One play-off semi-finals to Rotherham and they are looking to strengthen their squad this summer to try and go one better next season.
Pinnock started his career at Southend United, making two league appearances at Roots Hall, before joining Bromley and he had a spell at Maidstone before joining Dover.
