Crystal Palace are reportedly keen on Andre Schurrle.
According to Calciomercato, Crystal Palace are one of the clubs interested in snapping up Borussia Dortmund winger Andre Schurrle this summer.
Palace managed to comfortably survive in the Premier League having once been in grave danger under Frank de Boer, with Roy Hodgson steadying the ship and leading the Eagles to an 11th-place finish.
Summer signings are a must for Palace in order to avoid any struggles again, and attacking reinforcements should be a priority for Hodgson.
Now, Calciomercato report that Palace are interested in snapping up Borussia Dortmund forward Andre Schurrle this summer in bid to boost the attacking options at Selhurst Park.
Schurrle, 27, hit three goals and four assists this season as he struggled for playing time at Signal Iduna Park, starting just 16 times in all competitions under Peter Bosz and then Peter Stoger.
The German international – who won the World Cup in 2014 – is set to miss out on this summer’s tournament, and that may just help him realise that he must leave Dortmund in order to kick on again.
Schurrle has already had one stint in London having joined Chelsea from Bayer Leverkusen back in 2013, scoring 14 goals in 65 games for the Blues – and given that he can play out wide or up front, Palace may just swoop to offer him a return to the capital this summer.
