Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic and Stoke City were already linked with Manchester City goalkeeper Angus Gunn, and now Leeds United are reported to have joined the race for the 22-year-old, who spent the 2017-18 season on loan at Norwich City.
The Sun reported in March that Scottish Premiership club Celtic and Stoke - who will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2017-18 campaign - want to secure the services of Gunn this summer.
A report in The Yorkshire Evening Post on Monday claimed that Leeds are interested in signing the England Under-21 international goalkeeper on a season-long loan deal this summer.
Gunn was one of the best goalkeepers in the Championship this season, and former Premier League star Darren Huckerby’s comments about him on social networking site Twitter in March will only encourage Leeds fans and underline just how good he is.
Huckerby, who played for both Manchester City and Norwich in his career, rates Gunn highly, and stated that he has a massive future ahead of him.
