Reo Griffiths looks set to snub any interest from Celtic, in favour of signing a new deal at White Hart Lane with Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur have been incredibly proactive at the start of this summer transfer window, with multiple players putting pen to paper on new contracts, and it looks as though Reo Griffiths may be the next to follow.

The 17-year-old had been linked with a move away from the club ahead of next season, but it now appears he is ready to snub reported interest in favour of signing a new deal in north London.

The promising striker has garnered attention from clubs around Europe after netting a sensational 23 goals in as few as 18 appearances this term, with German outfit RB Leipzig and Scottish Premiership champions Celtic reportedly interested in his services, as suggested by football.london.

However, Griffiths appears to put rumours of a departure to bed in his latest Instagram post.

He was asked by a follower to sign a pro contract and replied: “I’ll be signing something soon mate. Don’t you worry about that.”

If the suggested deal materialises, the under-23 prospect would become the fifth young player to commit his future to Tottenham already, with Kyle Walker-Peters, Davinson Sanchez, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Harry Winks having already pledged their immediate futures to Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

The Spurs manager is also said to be negotiating his own extension, but the club remain confident they can convince him to stay over the coming days.
