Celtic fans believe James McClean was playing to impress Brendan Rodgers in Scott Brown’s testimonial yesterday.
Celtic took on a Republic of Ireland side, which included McClean in a friendly match at the weekend.
And McClean was one of the players who was taking the contest very seriously.

The West Bromwich Albion winger looked as if he loved playing on the Parkhead pitch, with the match finishing as a 2-2 draw.
And Celtic fans were quick to suggest that McClean looked as if he was trying to force a move to Glasgow.
McClean has strong Celtic connections, and has been tipped as a potential target for the Bhoys for a number of years.
Whether Rodgers would want to take McClean off West Brom remains to be seen.
McClean struggled for the Baggies this term, and Celtic’s wing options are relatively strong, even after the departure of Patrick Roberts.
