David Stockdale has been told he can leave Birmingham, after being linked with Leeds last summer.

Birmingham City goalkeeper David Stockdale has reportedly become available at St. Andrews’ Stadium despite being a regular with the Blues – and Whites fans are desperate to see their club raid Garry Monk’s side for the stopper.
The 32-year-old is renowned as one of the best goalkeepers in the Championship, a position that could be prioritised by Paul Heckingbottom in the summer transfer window.
Summer signing Felix Wiedwald has failed to show just what he is capable of since his summer move, and has now reportedly been transfer listed by the club according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, along with Vurnon Anita, Hadi Sacko and Pawel Cibicki.
Bailey Peacock-Farrell remains Leeds’ number one stopper, but he lacks the experience and Championship nous to push Leeds towards a place in the top six of the table and a chance at promotion.
Luring Stockdale to Elland Road, who told the Brighton Argus back in 2016 that he had a trial with Leeds at 12 years of age, would give Leeds the experience and defensive consistency to make a break for the top six.
Leeds fans have urged their club to complete a deal for the Leeds-born stopper, who has a contract with Monk’s side until the summer of 2020 after joining the Blues before the start of the 2017-18 campaign.
