The report states Eduardo Herrera, Michael O’Halloran, Lee Hodson, Joe Dodoo, Andy Halliday, Russell Martin, Bruno Alves, and Dalcio will all be axed.

Dalcio and Russell Martin are both on loan deals which are set to expire so their moves look like a formality.

Herrera and Alves were both signed by Pedro Caixinha last summer and will have lasted just one season at the club.

Michael O'Halloran and Andy Halliday both returned to Rangers in January after going out on loan but both failed to make a positive impression, while Joe Dodoo had a disappointing spell out on loan at Charlton.

Loanee Carlos Pena was not mentioned but he too is not considered to have a future with Rangers under Gerrard.
