Everton midfielder Davy Klaassen barely featured during Sam Allardyce’s time at Goodison Park.

Everton fans believe that the appointment of Marco Silva could be perfect for Davy Klaassen.

Sam Allardyce lost his job as Everton boss today, and that could benefit Klaassen.

Even though Allardyce did use the Dutch midfielder sporadically towards the end of his time at Goodison Park, he clearly had his doubts over utilising the summer signing from Ajax.

Klaassen’s first season at Everton has been a very difficult one.

But Toffees fans feel that the appointment of Silva could bring the best out of the 24-year-old.

It is still far from certain that Everton will appoint Silva, but the Portuguese boss is believed to be the front runner for the job.

Silva has impressed at both Hull City and Watford during his previous stints in English football.

If Klaassen is to start for Everton next season, he will have to move up the pecking order ahead of the likes of Tom Davies, Idrissa Gueye and Morgan Schneiderlin.
