Championship club Leeds United are reportedly set to raid Serie B for Jerry Mbakogu and Leo Stulac this summer.

With Director of Football Victor Orta staying on at Leeds United this summer, the Yorkshire Evening Post claimed that the under-fire talent-spotter was attempting to right the wrongs of last year’s failed recruitment drive by prioritising homegrown talents like Oli McBurnie and Kyle Bartley.
But the latest player linked with a move to Elland Road is hardly a household name in West Yorkshire, or anywhere in the UK in fact. Although that does not mean Leo Stulac would not be a fine addition.

Stulac, a technically gifted goal-scoring midfielder who has represented Slovenia at U21 level, is set to become a free agent this summer. And he is allegedly on the radar of Serie A club Genoa, who are very impressed with his ability to play in a number of positions in the centre of the park.

Leeds have lacked goals from midfield this season, barring Kalvin Phillips of course, so the fact Stulac has six to his name in 2017/18 perhaps explains why Orta appears keen to lure him to England.
Stulac is not the only Serie B talent Leeds have been tracking of late. Gazzetta dello Sport claimed at the weekend that the Championship giants will sign the six-goal Carpi striker Jerry Mbakogu for around £3.5 million.
