The teenage attacking midfielder was on the radar of other clubs having impressed scouts with his performances for Trnava youth sides, but turned them down in favour of the opportunity to play for the Hammers.
New #whufc signing Sebastián Nebyla (16yo MF) was put through his paces at training by Matthew Upson & Paul Konchesky & says he turned down other clubs in preference for the Hammershttps://t.co/8FeTWD1RjA pic.twitter.com/zbDm3jRzAe— Scouts in Attendance (@scoutsattending) May 9, 2018
Nebyla has already been put through his paces at training by former West Ham defenders Matthew Upson and Paul Konchesky, and he is set to return to the club in July having left for the Bermund Tournament.
Nebyla seems a promising player, and while he is highly rated back home at Slovakian Super Liga champions Spartaka Trnava, the lure of English football was too much for the teenager to turn down.
Should the young midfield prodigy fulfil his potential, he could be on his way to the senior team in few seasons' time.
