The Spain international striker recently announced that he will leave Atletico Madrid at the end of the season, as quoted by Sky Sports.

The 34-year-old is past his prime, but the striker is one of the best players to have even featured in the Premier League.

The former Chelsea striker, who has won the Champions League, the Europa League, the European Championship and the World Cup in his career so far, would be a blockbuster signing for Rangers.

Having played with Gerrard, Torres will know the former England international midfielder pretty well, and Rangers fans want the former AC Milan star at Ibrox next season.
