Arsenal fans on Twitter have called on their club to sign Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland this summer.

The Potters’ 2-1 home defeat by Crystal Palace today confirmed their relegation into the Championship.

As a result, quite a few of City’s heavy hitters – notably Butland and Xherdan Shaqiri – are unlikely to stay at the Bet 365 Stadium beyond this summer.

It will be a new era for Arsenal this summer following Arsene Wenger’s imminent departure, and fans of the North London club would love to see Butland arrive and Cech leave.

Butland has been linked with Wolverhampton Wanderers, but you have to imagine that the Gunners have more pulling power than Wolves at the moment.
