Midfielder Baningime has signed a new contract at Everton.
Everton midfielder Beni Baningime has posted on Instagram after the teenager put pen to paper on a four-year deal on a new contract with The Toffees.
The 19-year-old has broken into the Toffees side this season, after making his debut under caretaker manager David Unsworth during the latter’s caretaker spell after the sacking of Ronald Koeman.
The midfielder went on to make 12 senior appearances for the Merseyside club, despite huge competition in the middle of the park from the likes of Tom Davies, Morgan Schneiderlin and Idrissa Gueye.
Baningime described himself as “happy” on the social media channel after signing a new deal, which will keep him at Goodison Park until the summer of 2022.
Despite his breakthrough into the side, Baningime has struggled for regular game time under new manager Sam Allardyce with the former England boss renowned for his preference in experienced players.
However, the uncapped DR Congo star has made three substitute appearances of late against Liverpool, Manchester City and Swansea City. The Toffees face Southampton on Saturday before going up against West Ham next weekend.
