Glasgow Rangers fans want Martin Skrtel to join Steven Gerrard at Ibrox.

Gerrard is set to take the Rangers job in the near future, and speculation is already rife about the players he could bring to Glasgow.

Steven Gerrard of BT Sport looks on during the Emirates FA Cup Final between Arsenal and Chelsea at Wembley Stadium on May 27, 2017 in London, England.

And Skrtel is one of the names who Rangers fans are hoping could be added.

The Slovakian centre-back is currently at Fenerbache, but Rangers fans are hoping that the potential to link back up with Gerrard could attract him to Scotland.

If Skrtel was to arrive at Rangers it would be an impressive signing for the Light Blues.

Although Skrtel is now 33-years-old, he would surely strengthen their backline and offer them experience.

Skrtel would have to take a wage drop to join Rangers, but he would be almost guaranteed first-team football at Ibrox.

Rangers are expected to make wholesale changes in the summer, with Gerrard in charge.
