The Sheffield Wednesday talisman has played under Fulham’s manager before.

Bookmaker Bet Victor has opened a market on Fernando Forestieri’s next club and made Fulham 4/1 favourites to sign the Sheffield Wednesday forward, ahead of Birmingham City and several other Championship sides.
Forestieri returned last month from a knee injury suffered last September and has scored four goals in six games for the Owls, which could spark summer interest in the Argentine.

Interest from Fulham would come as little surprise, given that Forestieri played under Whites boss Slavisa Jokanovic at Watford and still has links to London and its surrounding areas.
And the prospect of Premier League football could be the icing on the cake that tempts the 28-year-old away from Hillsborough, providing, of course, Fulham’s promotion quest ends successfully.
The Cottagers may not be the only ones keen, however, with Birmingham (6/1), Middlesbrough, Leeds United, Derby County and Nottingham Forest (all 8/1) also listed.
Although, Sheffield Wednesday would have little incentive to sell to another Championship club – let alone a likely promotion rival.
Can Wednesday hang on to Forestieri – or will the former Italy Under-21 star leave for Fulham, Birmingham or other?
