Tottenham Hotspur might be hoping that bitter rivals West Ham lose one of their most exciting young prospects this summer – because it might make it a little easier for Mauricio Pochettino to bring one of his transfer targets to North London.

The Mirror states that the 19-year-old wonderkid Domingos Quina has just one year left on his West Ham contract and has attracted the attention of Dutch giants Ajax, a side renowned around Europe for turning young talents into world class footballers.

It is understood that a West Ham team who want to rebuild their squad this summer could consider cashing in. And to make matters worse for Hammers fans, this could help out their noisy neighbours on Wembley way.

Because Spurs are interested in two of Ajax’s latest midfield superstars-in-waiting. SoccerNews stated in October that Pochettino is a big fan of 21-year-old Donny Van de Beek (below), who has exploded into the first-team this season with ten goals and six assists in the Eredivisie.

Sky Sports states that his fellow Dutchman Frenkie De Jong is also a target.

Now, Ajax are a selling club who can only hold onto their top talents for so long so, if Tottenham make an offer big enough, they will surely be forced to consider selling De Jong or Van de Beek.

And if they nab Quina from West Ham, they will have a creative and classy central midfielder capable of replacing either at the Amsterdam ArenA.
