Sunderland’s relegation to League One was confirmed at the weekend.

Sunderland fans have begun to call for Mick McCarthy to be brought back to the Stadium of Light.
Chris Coleman’s side were relegated to League One ofificaly at the weekend, after throwing away a lead against Burton Albion.
Although there is some sympathy with Coleman, there is no doubting that he is under pressure from the Sunderland crowd.

Coleman took over mid-way through the season, but did not do enough to help the Black Cats stay in the Championship.
And there is now a growing clamour for McCarthy to be brought back to Wearside.
McCarthy is available, following his relegation as Ipswich Town manager earlier this month.
The experienced boss was in charge at Sunderland between 2003 and 2006, and he led them to promotion to the Premier League.
Coleman has expressed a desire to stay on at Sunderland, despite their relegation, and there are yet to be any suggestions that the Welsh boss is in danger of being sacked.
