The goalkeeper’s existing Crystal Palace deal expires in June.

Wayne Hennessey is ‘poised to sign a new deal at Crystal Palace’, according to the Daily Mirror (April 23rd, page 49).
The report claims Palace boss Roy Hodgson wants Hennessey to stay beyond the end of his contract this summer – despite the arranged transfer of Getafe goalkeeper Vicente Guaita.

And the pair could end up fighting to be Eagles number one next season, should the Welshman extend his deal.
Earlier in the campaign, it looked as though Hennessey would be on his way out of Crystal Palace, after he lost his place to veteran rival Julian Speroni.

But the Argentine’s absence has provided Hennessey another chance to impress – one which he appears to have taken.
And Palace could have another incentive to keep him, with reports this weekend linking Atletico Madrid with a move for Guaita, despite his agreement with the Eagles (Diario AS).
