West Ham United-owned Aston Villa winger Robert Snodgrass was in action against his former club Leeds United on Friday.
West Ham United-owned Aston Villa winger Robert Snodgrass has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his side's win against Leeds United.
Snodgrass, who joined Villa on a season-long loan deal from Premier League club West Ham United in the summer of 2017, featured for Villa in their Championship game against against his former club Leeds at Villa Park on Friday evening.
The Scotland international winger, who earns £40,000 per week as salary according to The Daily Star, started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Villans won 1-0.
The 30-year-old former Norwich City star, who cost West Ham £10.2 million in transfer fees when they signed him from Hull City in January 2017 according to BBC Sport, has taken to Twitter to revel in the win for Steve Bruce’s side.
Snodgrass has praised the Villa fans, and has also thanked the Leeds supporters for applauding him at the end of the game.
Not all Leeds fans were impressed, though, with many supporters of the West Yorkshire outfit responding to his tweet and criticising him for perceived diving.
Well done boys 3 points is what it’s all about at this stage thanks to the villa fans for your support and thanks to you leeds fans for clapping me at the end pic.twitter.com/s6iJefPQKf

Well said, The lad came down from Scotland for next to nothing and gave the club and its fans some great performances. I believe he only left as the club sold most of its best players from that team and he didn't the right ambition. Warnock was pissed at his sale. Bloody Bates!
