According to The Daily Mail, Championship trio Leeds, Wednesday and Forest are monitoring Marriott, who is one of the best players in League One and is in great form at the moment.

The 23-year-old striker has scored 26 goals and provided four assists in 41 League One appearance for The Posh so far this season, according to Transfermarkt.com.

Evans’s comments about Marriott suggest that Leeds, Wednesday and Aitor Karank’s Forest are interested in the former Ipswich Town striker.

However, it seems that the unnamed European club is determined to sign Marriott and has already expressed their interest.

Leeds, Wednesday and Forest will have to step up and make their moves.
