Aston Villa fans were impressed by the performance of Leeds United goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell.

After their 1-0 win on Friday night, it seems fair to say that the majority of Aston Villa fans had few positive comments about Leeds’ performance against the Villans – but there was one Whites player who did impress the home supporters.
With Villa challenging for promotion and Leeds enduring a real horrid run of form to end the campaign, it appeared that a win for the home side was going to be something of a foregone conclusion, so it would have surprised few when Lewis Grabban broke the deadlock inside the first half-hour at Villa Park.

Leeds rarely looked like getting back into the game, but Villa were not able to put the contest to bed. However, that was largely down to the performance of Peacock-Farrell, who has to be considered one of the finds of the season for the Whites.
The 21-year-old once again made a string of fine saves to keep the visitors in the contest and strengthen his claim to be considered a contender for the number one spot next season – though he is still awaiting his first clean sheet for the club.

And after the game, a number of Villa fans took to social media to suggest that the young stopper was the main reason that Leeds were not on the end of an embarrassing result.
One supporter described Peacock-Farrell as immense, while the general consensus was that he was one of the few players who could hold their head up high as the rest of Paul Heckingbottom’s side gave the travelling fans little to smile about.
Here is what some of the Villa fans made of Peacock-Farrell’s display…
