Everton are set to reduce the numbers in their squad significantly, if Sam Allardyce remains in charge.

Everton currently have 38 professionals on their books, and Allardyce wants to significantly reduce that number.
The Toffees boss claims that Everton’s squad is far too bloated at this moment in time, and he wants to offload numerous players in the summer transfer window.

Allardyce said: “There’s no doubt at 38 professionals it’s too many.
“We need to lessen that number of players and reduce it to 25, 26, 27 and try and get better quality rather than quantity.”
Allardyce’s comments put the futures of a number of Everton’s fringe players in to doubt.
The likes of Davy Klaassen, Sandro Ramirez and Nikola Vlasic now must be odds-on to leave Goodison Park this summer, if Allardyce does remain in charge.

Everton are also expected to bring players in, so it could be that further players are shifted on to make room for new additions.
The Toffees have disappointed so far this campaign, and they have failed to live up to expectations.
Everton are currently in ninth place in the Premier League table, with their next match coming against Swansea City.
