Two Nice strikers have been linked with a move to the Premier League and Everton with Alassane Plea and Mario Balotelli tearing up Liue 1.

Alassane Plea is in the form of his life right now with seven goals in his last four Ligue 1 games for Nice, including a clinical quadruple in a 5-2 thrashing of Guingamp.

So this alone might be enough to explain why Everton, Newcastle United and Burnley are all keen to bring Plea to the Premier League this summer, according to Calciomercato.

But, before making a move for the Frenchman, Everton should remember that his Nice strike partner Mario Balotelli also looks set to leave the Allianz Riviera this summer – for absolutely nothing.

Balotelli’s career looked to be heading only one way when he arrived at Nice in the summer of 2016 after being made a free-agent by Liverpool, but the madcap 27-year-old has finally fulfilled his enormous potential under Lucian Favre, netting 22 goals in 33 games in all competitions this season.

And Calciomercato even claimed back in December that Everton were considering a stunning move to bring one of the worst signings in Liverpool’s modern history back to Merseyside – albeit in a blue shirt rather than a red one.

And while Plea is a talented, pacey and improving centre-forward, he himself admits that Balotelli is on another level.

Speaking to Marca, Plea even claimed that Balotelli would be worth £100 million in today’s overinflated transfer market – if his contract was not due to expire this summer that is.

But which, if any, Nice striker will end up at Goodison Park?
