Rushian Hepburn-Murphy scored a brace for Aston Villa’s under-23 squad yesterday.

Aston Villa fans have once again called for Rushian Hepburn-Murphy to be given his first-team chance, after his brace for the under-23’s last night.
Hepburn-Murphy has been in fine form at development squad level this term, and he continued his brilliant goalscoring record last night.

The young forward managed to prod home in the 95th minute of Villa’s match against Middlesbrough, to force extra time, and he then he hit the winner.
Hepburn-Murphy’s performance really caught the eye, and Villa supporters are now urging Steve Bruce to give him some game-time.
If Hepburn-Murphy is to get a chance in Bruce’s side, he will have to compete with the likes of Scott Hogan and Jonathan Kodjia for a place.
The claret and blues do seem to have wrapped up a play off place though, so now could be the ideal time to test Hepburn-Murphy out.
Villa surely cannot make the automatic promotion spots now, after a poor run of form, which has seen them win just one of their last five matches.
Bruce’s side are next in action later today, when they take on Cardiff City.
