Everton drew 0-0 with Liverpool on Saturday afternoon.

Everton played out a 0-0 draw with Liverpool at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon, in one of the more forgettable Merseyside derbies in recent years.
The Toffees haven’t enjoyed the strongest 2018, and having lost 3-1 to Manchester City last weekend – and then seen City lose 3-0 to Liverpool in midweek – fans were somewhat apprehensive about facing the Reds.
Jurgen Klopp did rotate his Liverpool side, but whilst a number of key players didn’t feature, the Reds couldn’t beat Jordan Pickford in the Everton goal.
Everton themselves were far from impressive, and the closest they came to a goal was Yannick Bolasie’s first half strike, which forced a stunning save from Loris Karius.

That was virtually the only positive from Bolasie’s performance, as he struggled to make an impact before being substituted in favour of Domic Calvert-Lewin on 61 minutes.
The winger didn’t impress Everton fans, who took to Twitter to question just how Everton paid £29million (The Mirror) for Bolasie in 2016, suggesting that his former Crystal Palace teammate Wilfried Zaha would have been a better addition.
Others noted that Ademola Lookman or Nikola Vlasic should be playing instead, with supporters blasting Bolasie and suggesting that they don’t want to see him in an Everton shirt again.
