Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly put Newcastle United captain Jamaal Lascelles on their radar.

Tottenham fans have been reacting on Twitter to the reports that have recently emerged from The Telegraph which have suggested that Spurs are eyeing up a summer move for Newcastle captain Jamaal Lascelles.
The Telegraph reports that it is looking increasingly likely that Toby Alderweireld will be on his way at the end of the season, and Mauricio Pochettino has his eye on a number of potential replacements, including Matthijs de Ligt and Jonny Evans, who will be available for just £3 million if West Brom are relegated this season.

But they also have their eye on Magpies stalwart Lascelles, according to The Telegraph. The links with Tottenham come just days after the Daily Mirror reported that Chelsea were plotting a £30 million summer move for the 24-year-old.
Interestingly, the reported interest in Lascelles has been met with a very mixed response amongst the Tottenham fans on social media, with some very keen to see a deal take place while others feel that he would be an underwhelming signing.

Lascelles has been excellent for Newcastle this season and is already the established leader of the side despite being one of the younger members of Rafa Benitez’s squad, and his attributes hint that he should be able to step his game up if he was to move on.
However, several Spurs fans are not sure that he has the potential to make the leap from St James’ Park to Tottenham given the level of expectation that now exists amongst Pochettino’s squad.
