Hutchinson made only his second appearance of 2018 as Sheffield Wednesday beat Preston North End 4-1 on Friday.

Some things don’t change. And Sheffield Wednesday’s Sam Hutchinson is one of them.
Booked after 27 seconds, in need of medical attention after 20 minutes and subbed at half-time, Hutchinson’s showing against Preston North End had a strong air of déjà vu about it.
But while most Wednesday supporters are willing to let slide such antics, especially after a long period of absence, for a section of the Owls’ fanbase they are becoming an irritant.
Here’s what those people are saying on Twitter…
Hutchinson’s withdrawal, which it is believed was for precautionary reasons, allowed Wednesday to introduce a second striker at the break.
And the arrival of that man, Lucas Joao, sparked a revival for the Owls, who scored four times to Preston’s one, which looked to have set up a nervy last 18 minutes at Hillsborough.

However, stoppage time goals from Atdhe Nuhiu and Fernando Forestieri – on his first appearance since August – supplemented earlier ones from Nuhiu and Joao to send Wednesdayites home happy.
