Sheffield Wednesday have seven players out of contract in total.

Sheffield Wednesday will not hold talks with any of their senior out of contract players until the season is over, manager Jos Luhukay revealed on Thursday.
Wednesday – who have offered new deals to youngsters George Hirst and Sean Clare – could also see experienced quintet Glenn Loovens, Daniel Pudil, Ross Wallace, Atdhe Nuhiu and Jake Kean depart on free transfers this summer.
However, speaking via the club’s Facebook page ahead of Friday’s visit of Preston North End, Luhukay said those players must ‘show a little bit of patience’.

Asked when talks will commence and whether or not he will be a part of them, the Dutchman replied: “Yes. We will have to focus on the games and our position in the league, and at the end of the season we will have meetings with the players.
“We know the situation (of all the players), and the players must also have a little bit of patience (because of) our position in the league. Our focus and our concentration is 100 per cent on the team and on our games.
“It is not long, in four, five, six weeks we will hold meetings with the players and speak to the players about the future for us as a club.”

On Hirst and Clare, who are not expected to play again for Wednesday this season due to respective contractual and fitness issues, Luhukay added: “Yes, of course (we want to keep them), but we do everything to come to a good situation for that. And the players know they can sign every day when they like, so we can not do any more.”
Asked if he is confident the pair, who are said to have interest from Premier League, will sign, the 54-year-old replied: “We must wait in the next weeks when they will make the step and sign for us. The door is open for the players.”
