Gamboa has been on the books of Celtic since the summer of 2016 when he joined from Premier League club West Bromwich Albion for a transfer fee reported by Herald Scotland to be worth £1 million.

The right-back has failed to establish himself in Brendan Rodgers’s first team and has made only 24 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops, as stated on the club’s official website.

It is hard to see the 28-year-old former Rosenborg and West Brom right-back remain at Celtic beyond the summer transfer window.
