The Rangers loving Yorkshireman would be a popular choice to succeed Graeme Murty at Ibrox, it seems.

Neil Warnock’s comments about Rangers on Tuesday appear to have gone down well with the Ibrox faithful.
Speaking to Talksport’s Celtic-supporting breakfast show host Alan Brazil, Warnock said: “Let’s be honest, it’s not as good as it once was, but Scottish football is on its way back. I mean, there’s only one team in Scotland – and that’s Rangers.
“I remember taking my boy to Rangers a few years ago and was impressed by the youths there. I hadn’t seen any players as good as them. They were 13 or 14 at the time and they must be close to being ready for the first team now.”
69-year-old Warnock is on course to record a record eighth promotion this season, after his second-placed Cardiff City side opened up a seven-point lead on those below them in England’s Championship – with a game in hand on most.

And with Rangers’ managerial situation uncertain beyond the end of Graeme Murty’s caretaker spell this summer, some Gers fans are putting forward Warnock’s case.
Here’s what they’re saying on Twitter…
If Rangers were to fancy Warnock as Murty’s replacement they may have left it too late, after the Yorkshireman recently agreed a two-year contract extension in Wales.
Murty has won 13 of his 21 Premiership matches in charge of Rangers this season, but has also overseen seven defeats – including two in a row at home – to leave his Ibrox future in doubt.
