Coyle is among the contenders to succeed Alan Pardew at West Bromwich Albion.

Owen Coyle has moved to 4/1 to become West Bromwich Albion’s next manager, with bookmaker Paddy Power.
The market opened towards the end of last month, as rumours began to mount over the future of current Baggies boss Alan Pardew.

It has however seen little movement since then, with Coyle’s sudden emergence as third favourite the only change of note as Pardew remains in office.
The 51-year-old recently resigned as Ross County manager, leaving the Scottish Premiership side three points adrift at the bottom of the table.
It follows similarly unsuccessful spells at Blackburn Rovers, Houston Dynamo, Wigan Athletic and Bolton Wanderers, although Coyle did lead Burnley into the Premier League nine years ago.

Marco Silva (evens) remains favourite to take charge should West Brom give Pardew the boot, with Michael O’Neill and Martin O’Neill also staying put at 5/2 and 7/1 respectively, while early contenders Harry Redknapp and Garry Monk – who has since been hired by Albion’s local rivals Birmingham City – have drifted to 14/1 and 12/1 respectively.
Slaven Bilic (10/1), Derek McInnes (12/1), Gary Megson and new Southampton manager Mark Hughes (both 14/1) are the only others with odds shorter than 20/1.
