Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema.

According to Spanish media outlet Diario Gol, Liverpool have approached Real Madrid regarding the possibility of bringing Karim Benzema to Anfield in the summer.
Jürgen Klopp has a wonderful array of attacking talent already at his disposal, with Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane currently lighting up the Premier League.
The Reds are heavily armed with cash, following the sale of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona in January, and another word class forward to compete with Firmino would surely take them to another level.

Diario Gol claim that the Merseyside outfit are keen on Benzema, with his future at the Santiago Bernabeu uncertain to say the very least.
The 30-year-old has been prolific for Madrid, since joining the club in 2009, and has racked up 189 goals and 112 assists in 398 appearances thus far.
According to Transfer Markt, he is valued at £45 million, which, despite his age, would represent decent value in today’s ludicrously inflated transfer market.

The one main doubt regarding the Frenchman would be whether he possesses the fitness levels that are required to play under Klopp’s intense regime at Anfield.
There is only one way to find out, of course, and having someone with Benzema’s experience and winning mentality around the place could prove to be crucial to Liverpool’s hopes of winning major honours over the course of the next few years.
