Celtic are reportedly keen on NK Lokomotiva playmaker Lovro Majer.
Reports from the Daily Record today suggest that Celtic are interested in snapping up NK Lokomotiva playmaker Lovro Majer this summer.
Majer, 20, has emerged as one of the top young talents in Croatian football having settled with Lokomotiva, after spells with Dinamo Zagreb, NK Dubrava and NK Trnje.
A diminutive attacking midfielder, Majer has hit 10 goals and five assists in just 25 appearances this season, attracting major interest ahead of the summer transfer window.
After prior links with Celtic, it's now claimed that the Bhoys have scouted Majer recently, and may launch an ambitious move this summer.
A major coup for Rodgers?
Many fans have been urging Celtic to break their £6million transfer record this summer, and Majer would certainly cost more than that figure, making him an exciting target for the Bhoys.
Majer already has one Croatia cap to his name, and his impressive record in Croatia this season suggests he is ready to try his luck at a higher level, with Celtic able to offer Champions League football.
Celtic raided the Croatian market in 2015 to sign defender Jozo Simunovic from Dinamo Zagreb, and they may now return in an attempt to land Majer, with Everton and Newcastle also thought to be keen.
Charly Musonda hasn't made a huge impact since his loan move from Chelsea, and with questions over Tom Rogic's future, Majer could be Celtic's top attacking midfield target this summer.
