West Ham's midfield prospect Moses Makasi bagged a goal on his first senior start in professional football, earning his side a point in their weekend match against Fleetwood Town.
The English youngster is currently on loan with Plymouth Argyle for the remainder of the season having joined the League One side in January.
Makasi has endured a tough start to life in senior football, having been promoted to the first team at West Ham in 2015/16, failing yet to earn his Hammers debut.
A loan spell away at Chelmsford City saw him pick up some playing experience, albeit in the National League South, but Makasi now appears to be seizing his opportunity at Plymouth with both hands.
The 22-year-old made his debut off the bench in the 4-2 win over AFC Wimbledon last month, and earned the first start of his career against Fleetwood Town on Saturday.
The Pilgrims are currently still right in the mix for promotion in sixth place, and look likely to secure their spot in the play-offs.
Helping Plymouth into the Championship would be a massive statement of intent from Makasi, and would do wonders for his West Ham prospects that were not looking too great prior to his loan move away in January.
With the season's run-in approaching rapidly, if Makasi can build upon his goal scoring first start, he may well have a part to play in David Moyes' squad next season, especially given the club's current midfield pressures.
