Tottenham Hotspur moved themselves up to third in the Premier League with a hugely impressive win.

After a heartbreaking midweek result against Juventus, it appeared that everything was really starting to unravel for Tottenham during the early stages of their Premier League clash with Bournemouth on Sunday.

Spurs went a goal down early on to Junior Stanislas, who had already hit the bar, and then lost Harry Kane to injury during the first-half. After that setback, Spurs’ top four rivals would have surely been rubbing their hands together and felt that there was an opening there for them.

However, Tottenham demonstrated why they are most definitely not a one-man team as they stormed to an emphatic 4-1 victory at the Vitality Stadium that lifts them into third in the table.

It was Dele Alli who scored Spurs’ equaliser and Serge Aurier who completed the scoring with a brilliant header from a tight angle in stoppage-time, but it was another player who stole the headlines once again with a fantastic performance.

Son Heung-min scored twice to take his tally for the season to 18 goals in all competitions and see his recent record improve to seven strikes in his last four games.

It has been a remarkable season from a player who has not always been a first-choice for Mauricio Pochettino, and Tottenham’s recent gratitude to him was perhaps best summed up by one image after the South Korean had scored.

The photo shows Son standing with his arms folded taking in the adulation from the travelling fans while delighted teammate Aurier embraces him…
