Former Leeds United hitman Chris Wood made it three goals in two Premier League games on Saturday.

The towering New Zealand striker bagged himself a brace as Burnley thrashed West Ham 3-0 at the London Stadium.

Wood joined the Clarets in a £15 million deal from Leeds in August and has managed seven goals in 13 Premier League starts under Sean Dyche.

Chris Wood of Leeds celebrates scoring the opening goal during the Sky Bet Championship match between Leeds United and Derby County at Elland Road on January 13, 2017 in Leeds, England.

The 26-year-old was far and away Leeds' best player last season after netting 30 goals in all competitions - including 27 in the Championship.

And some fans of the Elland Road club, whose side drew 2-2 at Reading on Saturday to effectively kill off their slim hopes of promotion, still haven't gotten over the loss of Wood by the look of things on Twitter.

As one fan suggested, Leeds will receive that £15 million in a number of different installments, which means that it might not have been feasible for United to go out and sign a £15 million striker to replace him.

Since leaving, Leeds have alternated between Kemar Roofe and Pierre-Michel Lasogga in the number nine role, but neither are in the same class as the big man.
