HITC Sport understands Wigan are set to loan out fit-again midfielder to Fylde.

Wigan midfielder Jordan Flores is set to join Fylde on loan after recovering from a serious car accident, HITC Sport understands.

Flores saw a loan move to Chesterfield cut short earlier this season after he was involved in a road traffic accident in October.

The all-action midfielder made 15 appearances for Chesterfield in League Two before the car crash.

The 22-year-old spent three weeks in hospital recovering from his injuries and he has working on his rehabilitation at Wigan since November.

Flores has made a speedy recovery in rehab and League One promotion hopefuls Wigan are ready to send him out on loan again.

Wigan feel going out on loan again will help Flores regain match sharpness in the next step in his road back to fitness.

National League side Fylde have moved to agree a deal with Wigan to take Flores on loan for the remainder of the season.

Fylde find themselves in 20th place in the National League and they are battling to avoid a relegation fight for the final few weeks of the season.

Flores is highly-regarded at Wigan and they will monitor his progress at Fylde ahead of the player challenging for a place in the Latics side next season.
