Pablo Hernandez’s contract with Leeds United expires at the end of the season

Leeds fans have been left furious on Twitter after Paul Heckingbottom’s response – which has been reported by Leeds Live – when asked about Pablo Hernandez’s contract situation at Elland Road.
Hernandez is out of contract with the Whites at the end of the season. And while he is currently the oldest outfield player available to Heckingbottom, he has also been one of the most impressive this season.

The Spaniard has scored four goals and provided six assists in the Championship this term, and has often proven to be the player to look to make things happen when the Yorkshire side have not been at their best throughout the campaign.
Nevertheless, he is now heading for the final months of his deal with Leeds. And ahead of their clash with Reading this weekend, Heckingbottom was unable to provide a concrete answer regarding the playmaker when asked about his future.

Understandably, Heckingbottom’s comments have angered a number of supporters as they feel that it is a clear suggestion from the Leeds head coach that he is on his way out of the club this summer.
The fans appear to believe that if Hernandez was going to be a Whites player next season, he would have already signed a deal or the rhetoric coming from the club would have been a lot more positive regarding his situation.
Here is what the Leeds fans made of Heckingbottom’s comments on Hernandez…
