Ipswich Town fans have urged Mick McCarthy to get a deal done for Everton defender Callum Connolly.
Connolly has impressed on a loan spell with the Tractor Boys this season, with the defender’s performances catching the eye.
The Everton man has finally been given regularly game time and he has thrived with the exposure to first-team football.
Connolly has now suggested that a move away from Everton to Portman Road on a permanent basis could appeal to him.
He said to TWTD: “If Ipswich wanted me and Everton were prepared to let me move on I wouldn’t rule it out.
“I’m a very long way from home in Ipswich but the longer I’m here the more at home I feel.”
Ipswich fans now feel that they should be looking to tie down Connolly for the long-term.
However, there is a fear that the Tractor Boys will not be able to afford to pay the same wages as Everton for Connolly.
