Will Bailey Peacock-Farrell quit Leeds this summer?
Leeds fans are split on the possibility of Bailey Peacock-Farrell getting a chance in goal after their recent struggles.
Peacock-Farrell is Leeds' third choice and he has not featured since 2016, but fans hope he has more upside that underperformers Felix Wiedwald and Andy Lonergan.
Manager Paul Heckingbottom is not convinced. He told Leeds Live the young goalkeeper has areas to improve if he is to become the club's number one.
It's a pivotal few weeks, as a snub now will leave Peacock-Farrell considering his future.
Wiedwald has clearly been poor this season and is not the answer. If the academy talent can't get into the team ahead of the German this season, what hope is there in the future, when Leeds will undoubtedly sign another senior goalkeeper?
Peacock-Farrell has not kicked on as Leeds hoped two years ago, and this has been due to a lack of opportunities.
Comments from striker Eoghan Stokes this week will surely encourage Peacock-Farrell to seek a new challenge if he is snubbed this season.
Stokes criticised under-23 matches as 'fake football,' arguing he needed to get away to develop, the Yorkshire Evening Post reported.
The young Irish striker had his contract terminated last month at his own request so he could find a new club. He has headed to Ireland, which he feels is preferable to playing in Leeds' under-23s for another few months.
That's the fate which awaits Peacock-Farrell next season, if he cannot force his way into the first team now, and leaving has to be an option he strongly considers.
