Everton fans are encouraged to be linked with Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone again, but most believe that he won’t be arriving at Goodison Park any time soon.

The Daily Star suggested that Simeone and Luis Enrique were both being considered by Everton owner Farhad Moshiri, as he searches for a new manager to take over.

However, it is the potential for a Simeone appointment which has truly set pulses racing at Goodison Park.

The Argentine boss has done a wonderful job at Atleti, guiding them to two Champions League finals, but his future is being heavily speculated about right now.

If Simeone does leave the La Liga giants, there are sure to be a number of suitors for his signature.

And Everton fans admit that they think it’s highly unlikely that Simeone will be replacing Sam Allardyce, as much as they’d love him to.

At the moment the favourite to take over from Allardyce is Paolo Fonseca, who has done an impressive job at Shakhtar this season.
