The Sheffield Wednesday midfielder is a rumoured target for Tottenham Hotspur, Everton, Leicester City and Southampton.

Sheffield Wednesday’s Sean Clare is a target for Premier League clubs Tottenham Hotspur, Everton, Leicester City and Southampton according to Teamtalk.
Wednesday’s Championship rivals Norwich City and Sunderland are also credited with interest in the 21-year-old, but who exactly is he?
Here are six facts to get you up to speed:
He is a central attacking midfielder who plays in a manner not too dissimilar to that of Dele Alli… Like the Tottenham man, Clare is quick, direct and technically gifted – a trait which belies his near 6ft 3ins frame.

He made his first Championship start earlier this month… impressing as Wednesday beat Derby County 2-0 at Hillsborough, and scored his first goal in a 4-2 defeat against Aston Villa.
He is out of contract at the end of June… and is said to have spurned Wednesday’s advances thus far. Owls boss Jos Luhukay confirmed on Monday that Clare’s future is in the player’s own hands – although any club hoping to sign him would first have to agree compensation with the Hillsborough outfit or risk a tribunal hearing, as he is under 21 and has been offered a new deal.
He is London born… and spent five years in Charlton Atheltic’s youth system – where he was a teammate of reported Tottenham and Everton target Ezri Konsa – before leaving to focus on his education. Clare was later picked up by the Nike Academy, which helped youngsters such as Majeed Waris [now Porto], Tom Rogic [now Celtic] and Jorge Grant [Nottingham Forest] to find professional clubs, and signed for Wednesday in February 2016.

He was part of the Sheffield Wednesday Under-23s side which won the Professional Development League title last season… alongside recent first team inductees Jordan Thorniley – a former Everton trainee – and Jack Stobbs, as well as the highly rated England youth international, George Hirst – who has been linked with moves to Everton and Leicester.
He has also played for… Bury, Accrington Stanley and Gillingham on loan, and left a lasting impression on the latter club, for whom he also played on the right of midfield and as a wing-back.

Should Tottenham / Everton / Leicester / Southampton / Norwich / Sunderland make moves for the Sheffield Wednesday man?
