Tottenham want to sign David Brooks from Sheffield United.

Tottenham Hotspur are negotiating with Sheffield United to sign David Brooks, according to The Sun.

The Sun (25/2 page 65) report Spurs want to sign Brooks and have made him a top priority.

With talks starting at around £10 million, Tottenham reportedly want to convert him to become a striker and emulate top scorer Harry Kane.

One option on the table is the possibility of loaning Brooks back to the Blades.

 Who is David Brooks?

Brooks is a Wales international who has been in the Sheffield United first team for the past two seasons.

He is more of an attacking midfielder even though Spurs have belief he could become a striker.

Brooks has made five Championship starts this season plus a further 14 substitute appearances.

The 20-year-old has scored twice this season and provided three assists.

Brooks began his career at Manchester City but left their academy in 2014.
