Nottingham Forest signed Lee Tomlin on loan in January.

Supporters of Nottingham Forest have urged boss Aitor Karanka to sign attacking midfielder Lee Tomlin on a permanent basis this summer following his impressive performances.
The 29-year-old moved to the City Ground from Cardiff City on loan until the end of the season, in a deal which saw the out-of-favour Jamie Ward head in the opposite direction.
Tomlin has worked with Karanka before at Middlesbrough, and it was their successful stint together at the Riverside Stadium which prompted the Spaniard to bring him in again when given the opportunity.

The player rarely featured for Cardiff this season, meaning he arrived at the East Midlands club evidently lacking in full match-fitness, but that has not hindered his ability to make an impression on supporters.
As seen by a recent poll on Twitter, over 80 per cent of fans voted in favour of signing the player.
Tomlin appeared as a substitute in the defeats to Fulham and Hull City but has gone on to start the last two games, scoring the equaliser in the recent 1-1 draw with fellow under-performers Reading.
With Forest having one of the youngest squads in the Championship, the introduction of a couple of experienced pros such as Ben Watson and Tomlin has made a difference and added some steel to the side.

It is unknown whether Karanka will have some decent finances to play with this summer, but one player he should try to bring in is Tomlin on a permanent deal considering his previous performances at Boro.
During his stint on Teesside he was extremely effective, recording eight goals and 10 assists in 35 Championship games, a record comparable with the very best creative players outside the Premier League.
