The Hoffenheim ace is a reported transfer target for Everton and Liverpool.

Liverpool and Everton target Kerem Demirbay poured cold water on talk of a potential switch to the Premier League in the summer, when speaking exclusively to German media outlet Kicker, insisting that he is more than happy at Hoffenheim.

Both Jürgen Klopp and Sam Allardyce will be desperate to bolster their ranks in the summer, with the addition of an attacking midfielder thought to feature highly on their wish-lists.

German media outlet Bild reported earlier this month that the two Merseyside clubs were lining up a summer swoop for the €32 million (£28.1 million) rated 24-year-old, but those reports seem to be wide of the mark, following Demirbay’s latest comments.

The Germany international spoke exclusively to German website Kicker, and insisted that he will remain with Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga next season:

“I never said that I wanted to change [clubs]. I feel comfortable here and will be playing for Hoffenheim in the coming season.”

Demirbay has been in fine form this season, and has earned rave reviews for his high-octane displays.

He seems to be ideally suited to the blood and thunder of the Premier League, but following his recent remarks, it seems as though he will not be moving to England anytime soon.
