The Colombian has been great this season, whilst the Belgian could be on his way.
Tottenham Hotspur are in danger of losing one of their star defenders this summer, as Toby Alderweireld is continuously linked with a move away from North London.
Such a scenario would have been unthinkable 18 months ago, when the Belgian was being dubbed the best defender in the Premier League.
Also this week, Colombian defender Davinson Sanchez spoke about a potential move to Real Madrid. The 21-year-old was asked where he sees his future and suggested to Deportes RCN that he would even reject Real at the moment as he is so happy at Tottenham Hotspur.

So who would Spurs rather lose?
In the ideal world, Tottenham keep both players and along with Jan Vertonghen, Eric Dier and Juan Foyth have a fantastic centre-back arsenal
But if one had to go, surely it is the Belgian that would get the chop.
Again it is a statement that last summer would have seemed absurd. But Sanchez is the club’s record signing at £42 million and at 21-years-old looks like he could go on to become one of the best defenders in the world.

Some would argue Alderweireld is in that bracket already and, he was. But in recent times injury problems have plagued the defender and Tottenham cannot rely on him to be the mainstay of their back-line anymore.
If he leaves Spurs then whoever gets him will be no doubt be getting their hands on a top talent who will add world-class quality to their back-line.
But with Tottenham’s current pool of defenders, they will no doubt be able to carry on without him.
